The Wits Fund is an independent entity dedicated to fundraising for Wits University. Its goal is to help ensure Wits remains a leading research-intensive university in Africa and globally. This is achieved by raising Wits’ global profile, strengthening alumni connections, and securing funds to support its priorities, research, and ability to attract and retain top students and faculty.
Vision:
To ensure that Wits University remains one of Africa’s – and the world’s pre-eminent research-intensive educational institutions, with top academic standards, committed faculty, and supportive alumni.
The Wits Fund is committed to:
1. Raising Wits University’s global profile by sharing its achievements, milestones, and alumni successes, benefiting South Africa and the wider African continent. 2. Strengthening connections between Wits and its alumni, while building relationships with friends and partners of the University. 3. Securing funds to support Wits’ priorities, special projects, research, and its ability to attract and retain outstanding students and faculty.
