Bursary opportunities are offered by some external companies, municipalities and government departments to reward academic excellence or help undergraduate students in need of financial assistance.

Exxaro Bursaries for 2026

Exxaro is offering the following Engineering and Science bursaries:

  • CIVIL ENGINEERING - 2nd or 4th year of study towards BEng/BSc
  • Civil INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING – 2nd or 4th year of study towards BEng/BSc Industrial
  • ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING – 2nd year of study towards BEng/BSc Electrical
  • MECHANICAL ENGINEERING – 2nd year of study towards BEng Mechanical
  • METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING – 2nd or 4th year of study towards BEng/BSc Metallurgical or Chemical
  • GEOLOGY – 2nd or 3rd year of study towards BSc Geology
  • MINING ENGINEERING – 2nd year of study towards BEng/BSc Mining Engineering
  • MINE SURVEYING – 3rd or Honours year of study towards BEng/BSc Mine Surveying
  • DATA SCIENCES - 3rd year of study towards BTech degree Data Sciences/BDatSci/BComp specialising in Data Sciences
 

The bursary offers full tuition coverage and accommodation, including the following allowances: Laptop, Study material, Data, Travel, Wellness, Meals. This will be supplemented by vacation work opportunities and dedicated mentorship.

Mars Goldshtein Foundation

Will you be a GEMP Ill or IV student in 2026 and need financial support for your studies?

The Mars Goldshtein Foundation is offering six bursaries to support students experiencing financial challenges. These bursaries are awarded based on academic excellence, financial need, and personal drive.

Who can apply?

雷速体育_雷速体育直播s who will be enrolled in GEMP Ill or GEMP IV in 2026 and have maintained a minimum 75% aggregate from GEMP 1 through to their current year.

Bursary amount

  • GEMP III 雷速体育_雷速体育直播s - 2 x R50,000 (2 bursaries available)
  • GEMP IV 雷速体育_雷速体育直播s - 4 x R50,000 (4 bursaries available)
