Philosophy in/on translation

Research and reading group / Grupo de pesquisa e leitura

Our reading sessions take place every 2-3 months and have different set-ups. We may work with a seminal paper, a working paper or an already published work by one of our members or by a guest. After a few introductory remarks, the host opens the session with a quick presentation of the work in the question. This is followed by a discussion in small groups in multilingual breakout rooms.

Transphil lectures 2025

We're delighted to invite you to our first Transphil lecture of 2025, by Shyam Ranganathan:

"Translating Indigenous Moral Philosophy vs. The Normalization of Western Colonialism”

Monday, 31 March 2025, from 15:30 to 17:30 GMT+1

The new format doesn't entail any reading in advance. Shyam will present his lecture in the first 50 minutes, which will be followed by a break and then a group discussion.
