Postgraduate studies

The IACS department offers an innovative Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in the field of interdisciplinary Arts and Culture Studies which allows students a high degree of flexibility in the selection of courses offered by IACS, the Wits School of Arts, and in selected other departments in the University. 雷速体育_雷速体育直播s are able to shape a curriculum that affords them the opportunity to explore a wide range of issues from historical, theoretical, and sociological perspectives. All courses require critical engagement and strong research and writing skills. Some Honours courses may incorporate practical projects, internships and/or fieldwork.

The department also offers the Masters by Research and PhD degrees.
Our MA by Research and PhD Degrees can be undertaken as either full research dissertation (research and writing-based) or include a written research-based component combined with a practical/creative project, depending on topic and supervisor availability.
